SS Plastic Cricket Bat

The SS Plastic Cricket Bat is a lightweight, durable and budget-friendly option designed for fun, casual and beginner play. Crafted from hard-wearing plastic rather than willow, it's perfect for backyard matches, schools, beach cricket and young players taking their first strokes.

  • Material: Tough plastic construction built for endless casual use.

  • Sizes: Available in multiple sizes (e.g., Junior size 0, 1, 2 etc,)

  • Weight: Approx. 800-900 g for adult size.

  • Blade Dimensions: Blade width approx. 107–108 mm, edge/bulge-style design for added hitting area.

  • Handle: Round or semi-oval plastic/cane-style handle with grip suited to casual play.

  • Ideal for: Tennis ball, soft-ball, beach/cricket-tennis formats and school-yard action.

  • Young and beginner players starting out with cricket, backyard games or school sessions.

  • Casual cricketers looking for affordable gear for beach, backyard or social play.

  • Families and groups needing a bat for fun sessions, non-competitive use, or casual nets.

  • Schools, clubs or community programs seeking robust equipment for widespread use without premium price.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.

  • Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
  • Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
  • Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
  • Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
