- Buying Guide
Legends are made with the Kahuna blade. As part of Kookaburra's most iconic collection, the Kahuna Pro 1.0 is produced using Grade 2 unbleached English Willow and boasts a mid profile and full length spine for an enhanced sweet spot. The all new Verdigris design contrasts nicely with the traditional lime across the entire 22/23 collection.
Player Type: Dynamic, busy players who can play multiple formats and looking to score all round the wicket.
Bat Profile: Classic mid to high profile to suit Australian conditions. The swell position is approximately 200 mm up from the toe. Nice big edges and spine running all the way through to extend the sweet spot.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.
- Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
- Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
- Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
- Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
