🏏 Gray-Nicolls Revel 500 Ready Play Adult Cricket Bat – English Willow Cricket Bat
The Gray-Nicolls Revel 500 Ready Play Adult Cricket Bat is a lightweight English willow cricket bat designed for players who want balance, fast hands and confident all-round stroke play.
Made from English Willow, the Revel 500 offers excellent value for developing adult cricketers, senior club players and advanced juniors moving into adult cricket bats.
With a mid profile, even bow, generous edges and rounded POWERCURVE face, this bat gives players a clean feel through the ball and a reliable hitting zone for scoring around the ground.
This is a Ready Play cricket bat, meaning it has been factory prepared to reduce preparation time. However, additional knocking-in and gradual net use with an older ball is still recommended before full match use against a leather cricket ball.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.
- Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
- Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
- Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
- Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
