🏏 Gray-Nicolls Tennis Cricket Bat
The Gray-Nicolls Tennis Cricket Bat is designed specifically for players who enjoy tennis ball cricket, casual cricket and backyard games.
Made from Poplar wood, this bat offers a lightweight and easy-to-handle feel compared with traditional leather-ball willow bats. The scoop pattern helps reduce and redistribute weight towards the edges of the blade, improving pick-up and helping create a larger sweet spot feel for tennis ball hitting.
Fitted with a GN Traction grip, the bat provides comfortable control during batting. It is a practical choice for tennis ball cricket, park cricket, school play, backyard matches and casual games where a standard leather-ball cricket bat is not required.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.
- Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
- Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
- Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
- Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
