Gray-Nicolls Blitz 1250 Play Now Adult Cricket Bat

The Gray-Nicolls Blitz 1250 Play Now Adult Cricket Bat is a premium adult English willow bat designed for dynamic players who want power, pickup and confident stroke play.

Crafted from Grade 2 English Willow, the Blitz 1250 delivers an excellent balance of performance, control and feel for developing and competitive club cricketers.

With a balanced mid to mid-high profile, enhanced edges, rounded POWERCURVE face and generous middle, this bat is built for players who like to take the game on and score confidently around the ground.

The Play Now finish means the bat has received factory preparation, including pressing, oiling, hand knocking-in, Extratec facing and toe protection. Additional throwdowns with an older ball are still recommended before full match use.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.

  • Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
  • Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
  • Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
  • Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
