   • Size 6 → ~157-163 cm

What a junior needs depends on the ball they play with.

• Soft ball (usually Under 10 and Under 11): a bat that fits, comfortable shoes, a hat and a water bottle.
• Hard ball (usually from Under 12): bat, helmet with neck guard, pads, gloves, abdominal guard, thigh guard, kit bag and cricket shoes.
• Complete kits are convenient and good value. Make sure the bat and pads fit now, not next year.
• First bat: Kashmir willow is tough and ready to use. English willow is lighter but needs knocking in.
