Once you've purchased the right cricket bat to suit your needs, the next step is to prepare it for use and to learn how to maintain it. There are two steps to preparing a cricket bat, oiling and knocking it in

Two coats of linseed oil are applied to the face, back edges and toe of the bat. We carefully start knocking the edges of the bat and then we knock the toe and face of the bat and ensure the bat is ready to be played in the nets.

Extratec sheet will be applied after the knocking process is completed.
