🏏 Gray-Nicolls Composite Cricket Bat

The Gray-Nicolls Composite Cricket Bat is designed for players who want a strong, lightweight bat for tennis ball and soft ball cricket.

Made from fibre composite material, this bat offers a durable alternative to traditional plastic bats while remaining easy to handle for casual play and training. The improved blade shape is designed to support increased power, helping players strike tennis balls and soft cricket balls with confidence.

Ideal for backyard games, park cricket, school cricket activities and tennis ball competitions, the Gray-Nicolls Composite Cricket Bat is a practical option for players who want more performance than a basic plastic bat without moving into hard-ball willow cricket.

Choosing a cricket bat comes down to four things: size, weight, willow and how it feels in your hands.

  • Size: most adults use a Short Handle bat. For juniors, choose by height, and if they're between sizes, go smaller.
  • Weight: pick the heaviest bat you can swing comfortably for a whole innings, not the heaviest you can lift.
  • Willow: English willow is lighter and livelier for hard-ball cricket. Kashmir willow is tougher and more affordable, great for a first bat.
  • Knocking in: a new English willow bat needs knocking in before you face a leather ball, unless it's sold as Play Now or Match Ready.
